Responsibilities

  • Facilitates communications among caregivers, patients, and visitors to ensure the smooth and efficient flow of information.
  • Performs all clerical/computer functions to support patient care delivery.
  • Coordinates daily patient flow activities.
  • Stocks unit with office and medical supplies and prepares requisitions to maintain inventory levels.
  • Answers the telephone in a professional manner and directs calls or takes messages.
  • Faxes and photocopies information as requested by staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
