About the position

The Medical Office Coordinator at HCA Virginia Primary Care plays a crucial role in providing administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care. This position involves managing front office functions, patient relations, and staff coordination, contributing to a positive healthcare experience for patients.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all front office functions including patient relations, check-in/check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
  • Handle patient complaints appropriately.
  • Develop guidelines for prioritizing work activities and evaluating effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings.
  • Manage filing and retrieving medical records and patient information.
  • Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of patient charge entry into the billing system and assist with collecting and recording co-pays.

Requirements

  • Graduate from a recognized training facility for medical assistants is preferred.
  • Course-work in healthcare office management is preferred.
  • RMA, CMA, or LPN license is beneficial.
  • CPR Certification is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience required.
