About the position

The Medical Front Desk/Receptionist at Seasons Women's Care is a vital role responsible for being the first point of contact for patients, both in person and over the phone. This position requires a blend of customer service skills and administrative capabilities, ensuring a smooth patient experience while managing various clerical tasks. The ideal candidate will work independently and collaboratively with staff, utilizing their expertise in Microsoft Office and Athena EMR to support the clinic's operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and visitors in a prompt and helpful manner; provides instructions/directions as needed
• Ensures patient information is complete and accurate; updates patient profiles and scans required documents into EHR
• Collects co-payments and outstanding balances
• Manages patient monies collected and closes batches at end of day
• Provides necessary release and HIPAA forms to patient for completion and signature
• Informs clinical staff or other appropriate parties of patient arrivals
• Ensures patient referrals are obtained as required by managed care plans
• Answers emails and voicemails and returns patient calls in a timely and efficient manner
• Abides by and promotes HIPAA compliance; maintains strictest confidentiality with regards to patient information
• Schedules and reschedules patients
• Performs phone triage

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• 2 years of experience in a similar role
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with Athena EMR
• Strong customer service skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Computer skills

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of customer service experience (Preferred)
• 1 year of medical terminology experience (Preferred)
• 1 year of computer skills experience (Preferred)
