About the position

The Medical Receptionist at MainStreet.care plays a vital role in the smooth operation of the medical office, ensuring exceptional patient care through excellent customer service and attention to detail. This full-time position involves various administrative tasks that support the clinical staff and enhance patient experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
  • Answer phone calls and address inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate department
  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
  • Collect patient information, verify insurance coverage, and update patient records
  • Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as needed
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the office
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure efficient patient flow

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar role is preferred
  • Electronic Health Records and Patient Management Systems experience is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures is an asset
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Familiarity with phone systems and handling high call volumes
  • Bilingual candidates preferred with the ability to communicate in Hindi/Urdu/Punjabi, in addition to English
