The ideal candidate will be responsible for front desk functions, ensuring a welcoming environment for patients, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in administrative tasks, familiarity with medical terminology, and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner. Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently. Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers. Review documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to patient visits. Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about services offered. Ensure all patients have necessary insurance verification and authorizations if required. Assist with insurance verification and coding as needed. Utilize eClinicalWorks software for patient management and documentation. Handle administrative tasks such as filing and data entry Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff. Familiarity with medical terminology and coding practices is preferred. Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic health record systems is a plus. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. Basic knowledge of documentation review processes. Strong multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
