About the position

The Physical Therapist at JAG Physical Therapy is responsible for assessing patients' strengths and weaknesses to create effective treatment plans aimed at healing and maximizing functional independence. This role requires a positive and energetic approach to patient care, utilizing clinical knowledge and skills to implement daily treatment plans. The position emphasizes teamwork and individual responsibility, with a focus on patient education and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' strengths and weaknesses to devise treatment plans.
• Implement and execute daily treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Collect and record patient care data in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
• Provide education and training to patients and their support systems.
• Oversee support staff including PTA, ATC, and PT aides.
• Promote JAG Physical Therapy in the community through lectures and presentations.
• Prepare for evaluations by obtaining patient history and understanding diagnoses.
• Identify the need for consultations and refer patients to other healthcare professionals as necessary.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Physical Therapy required; Doctorate degree preferred.
• Experience and knowledge with EMR software.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as a team member and independently with minimal supervision.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy.
• Familiarity with billing and coding practices.
