About the position

The Operations Manager at Solomon Medical will oversee the daily operations of a growing practice specializing in post-acute and long-term care (PALTC). This role is crucial for ensuring efficient service coordination across multiple skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and driving growth while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in healthcare management and will play a key role in shaping the future of the practice as it expands its reach in the Central Coast of California.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the smooth service coordination of SNF clients.
  • Analyze and improve operational processes for better efficiency and patient care outcomes.
  • Coordinate the activities of medical administrative support staff to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee the implementation and adherence to HIPAA regulations and other compliance requirements.
  • Manage fiscal operations including budgeting, billing, and financial reporting to ensure the practice's financial health.
  • Develop and maintain systems for effective patient management and care delivery.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient services and improve critical care outcomes.
  • Implement managed care strategies to optimize resources while maintaining quality service.
  • Ensure that all operational policies are followed to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Develop a professional relationship with key stakeholders at care facility partners, such as SNF administrators and nursing directors.
  • Support Managing Director and recruiting partners in interviews, hiring, and onboarding for clinical and non-clinical roles.
  • Work with President and Managing Director on new business ventures and growth opportunities.
  • Oversee payroll and collaborate with the practice's bookkeeper on payroll execution.
  • Collaborate with medical coordinators to ensure in-person coverage and on-call scheduling across SNFs.
  • Work with Management Team to define and hold accountable for KPIs set by senior leadership.
  • Ensure all operations meet regulatory and quality standards for post-acute care facilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years in healthcare management, preferably within post-acute care with a proven track record in leadership and multi-site management.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated ability in fiscal management and budget oversight.
  • Experience supervising staff and fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Familiarity with systems that enhance operational efficiency in healthcare settings.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with staff, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to handle critical care situations with professionalism and composure.
