About the position

The Medical Product Finance Analyst at The Pirko Group will support a high-visibility ASPR client managing a portfolio valued over $12B. This role focuses on the development and management of innovative government programs aimed at expanding the industrial base for public health sector medical technology. The analyst will manage independent projects, provide financial updates, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure effective financial operations and compliance with government contracting needs.

Responsibilities

  • Support innovative government programs and pharmaceutical development business best practices.
  • Manage independent projects, including understanding, drafting, and delivering risk management strategies.
  • Provide advice and assistance with grants and contracting needs, supporting business operations.
  • Support the review of White Papers and Full Proposals as required.
  • Review business systems and tools designed to support IBMSC.
  • Advise and assist program offices with grant and contracting needs.
  • Provide daily financial updates, including balance sheets, procurement, obligations, de-obligations, and spend plans.
  • Collaborate with service partners and stakeholders to address obligations and de-obligation issues.
  • Draft and update documents to obligate and deobligate funding via G-invoicing and prepare decision memos for the 7600 series documents.
  • Create, execute, and track documents for approval to recover ASPR funds shared with service partners.
  • Perform weekly data validation against financial reports to ensure accuracy and report anomalies.
  • Provide weekly updates on the status of fund recoveries for DOD, Non-DOD, and ASPR funds.
  • Process Training Requests forms and collaborate with ASPR Training Dept for approval and payment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in business field.
  • 6-8 years of experience within private sector or government agencies.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical development business best practices.
  • Experience with federal government acquisition programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Proficiency with all MS Office products and Adobe Acrobat.
