About the position

The Medical Receptionist at Conviva Care Solutions plays a crucial role in ensuring a welcoming and efficient environment for patients and visitors. This position involves managing incoming calls, greeting visitors, and performing various administrative tasks to support the medical office's operations. The receptionist is responsible for appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and providing excellent customer service, all while adhering to established policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and route incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
  • Greet visitors and determine the nature of their visit.
  • Assist patients with questions and appointment scheduling.
  • Verify insurance information and collect patient charges.
  • Maintain visitor logs and issue visitor passes.
  • Respond to routine inquiries regarding the organization's location and hours of operation.
  • Perform basic administrative tasks such as booking meeting rooms and organizing mail.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred.
  • Excellent customer service and phone etiquette skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience working at the front desk of a medical office.
  • Familiarity with eClinicalWorks software.
