About the position

Michigan Spine and Brain Surgeons is one of the leading neurosurgical and orthopedic spine practices in Michigan, employing six board-certified surgeons and over 50 supporting staff across three offices. The role of the Medical Receptionist/Front Desk is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation of our busy clinics. The front desk staff will be responsible for supporting multiple clinics, which requires a competent and organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. While prior experience in a similar role is preferred, it is not a strict requirement for applicants. Candidates must apply through our company website to be considered for the position. The Medical Receptionist will handle various responsibilities that include verifying insurance, checking paperwork, creating future appointments, sorting electronic documents for physicians and staff, and preparing and escorting patients to exam rooms during clinic hours. A positive, friendly, and outgoing demeanor is essential, as is the ability to work diligently in a team-oriented environment. Preferred qualifications for this role include proficiency in typing (minimum 60 WPM preferred), familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) software, and experience with eClinicalWorks.
