About the position

The Medical Receptionist/Front Desk role at Parinda Parikh MD PC is essential for providing exceptional service in a busy psychiatric practice. The position involves managing front desk operations, assisting patients, and ensuring a welcoming environment. The receptionist will coordinate schedules, handle patient inquiries, and maintain office organization, contributing to the overall patient experience and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, vendors, pharmaceutical representatives, and other visitors to the medical office.
• Answer patient questions and provide assistance and directions when necessary.
• Field all phone calls that arrive using the general office number.
• Utilize medical office software to schedule new and follow-up appointments for patients.
• Register new patients and update necessary insurance and medical records.
• Distribute forms and paperwork to patients and check them for completion.
• Maintain confidentiality of all patient records.
• Uphold the positive reputation of the medical office by treating visitors in a friendly and compassionate manner.
• Coordinate with patients, nurses, and medical consultants.
• Assist in ketamine clinic scheduling, monitoring, and payment collection.
• Be available to travel to the Brooklyn office once a week, with transportation and gas compensation provided.
• Coordinate and conduct prior authorizations for medications and transmagnetic stimulation.

Requirements

• 1 year of experience in Psychiatry (Required)
• 3 years of experience as a medical receptionist (Required)
• 3 years of computer skills (Required)
• Ability to relocate to Brooklyn, NY 11249 before starting work (Required)
