We are currently seeking candidates with exceptional customer service and clinical skills to join our team as a Medical Receptionist. You will be working with a team of professionals for a well-known, highly regarded dermatology practice who puts our patients above all else. As a Medical Receptionist, your duties will include facilitating the efficient and timely entry of patients into the office setting, greeting all patients in a professional manner, and handing out appropriate literature and information along with forms to be filled out by patients. You will be responsible for checking for accuracy and completion of these forms, copying insurance ID cards and driver's licenses, and performing several other general office activities related to the medical practice. Additionally, you will support the front office business administrators and the Office Manager in various operational areas and tasks. Your responsibilities will also include pulling and filing patient records, communicating with patients via telephone, setting up new patient charts, and performing other duties as assigned by the Office Manager. Other tasks may involve screening patients and employees daily upon entry, checking patients in and out, rooming patients while keeping social distancing guidelines, wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and sanitizing and cleaning respective areas as needed.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School level education
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medical computer programs, and insurance policies preferred
  • Typing speed of 40 wpm
  • Proficiency in Word and Excel
  • Personable, dependable, and responsible
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude with impeccable customer service skills
