Additionally, the role involves charge entry, payment posting, batch balancing, and cash reconciliation, all of which are essential for maintaining the clinic's financial integrity. The position requires proficiency in operating various types of office equipment and a strong ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external contacts, including patients, families, co-workers, physicians, and the general public. This is an intermediate-level position that demands excellent customer service skills, discretion, good judgment, and a pleasant demeanor. The Medical Receptionist must be articulate, especially when communicating over the phone, as they represent the clinic's first impression to patients. The role operates within a structured schedule, typically Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life dynamic. Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.

  • Balance cash and reconcile daily transactions.

Requirements

  • Post high school office procedures preferred.
  • Minimum one (1) year of clerical and/or receptionist experience; or six (6) months in a medical setting.
  • Customer service experience is essential.
  • Degree or relevant Certificate (e.g., Medical Office Assistant, Medical Assistant, Health Unit Coordinator) may be substituted for experience.
