The Medical Receptionist at Hackensack Meridian Health plays a crucial role in providing reception and clerical services to patients and visitors under the supervision of the practice manager and physician(s). This position is essential in ensuring that the practice runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall patient experience. The Medical Receptionist will be responsible for a variety of tasks that include billing, collections, managing referrals, scheduling appointments, and maintaining patient contact. Additionally, general secretarial duties will be part of the daily responsibilities, requiring a high level of organization and attention to detail. In this role, the Medical Receptionist will interact with patients and their families, providing them with the necessary information and support to navigate their healthcare needs. The position requires a strong sense of accountability and a commitment to improving the lives of patients and their caregivers. Teamwork is emphasized, as the Medical Receptionist will work closely with other staff members to ensure that the highest quality of care is delivered. The ability to adapt to changing patient needs and a dedication to ongoing education are also critical components of this role. The Medical Receptionist must be willing to travel within 30 minutes of their home and may be required to float to various locations as needed. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 9 am to 5 pm, with rotating hours on Wednesdays between 7 am to 3:30 pm or 10:30 am to 7 pm.
