About the position

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre and post trip inspections of units and equipment, inventory of supplies, and restock as needed.
  • Daily staff meetings to brief supervisor on status of Maximo work orders including completions, pending, and planned timeline of completion.
  • Remove graffiti from public, private, and commercial buildings, structures, fences, garages, sidewalks, storm ditches, utility and electrical boxes, poles, fire hydrants, USPS community cluster mailboxes, traffic signal boxes and traffic light poles, public regulatory and warning signs, City park playground equipment and structures, etc.
  • Map out routes for completing work in weekly scheduled zip code area of the city.
  • Maintain continuous interaction with citizens, residential and business owners of clean-up sites, as well as the general public, to answer questions and provide information about the removal program.
  • Provide outreach activities targeted to general and specific audiences by participating in a wide variety of public and media events.
  • May be asked to perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of one (1) year of operating experience
  • A valid Class B commercial driver's license is required at time of application
  • Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas Class B commercial driver's license within 90 days of hire
