About the position

First Care Medical Centers, LLC is seeking a part-time Medical Receptionist to join our fast-paced Urgent Care Clinic team. The position requires working on Saturdays and Sundays from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM. The ideal candidate must be a team player who is available to work the outlined schedule and possesses excellent customer service skills. The role demands a friendly demeanor, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to multitask under pressure while maintaining professionalism. Applicants should have 1-2 years of medical office experience, which includes familiarity with HIPAA regulations, electronic patient check-in/out processes, attention to detail in data entry, and the ability to collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles. Additionally, candidates must be able to verify insurance benefits and eligibility, process medical records, and manage multi-line phone systems. Experience with ChenaNet is considered a plus. This part-time position offers a pay rate of up to $20.00 per hour and provides a flexible schedule within a healthcare setting that includes clinic, private practice, telehealth, and urgent care environments. The medical specialties involved include Occupational Medicine, Primary Care, and Urgent Care. The work location is in person, and the role requires availability for night shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Manage patient check-in and check-out processes electronically.
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurance, and deductibles from patients.
  • Verify insurance benefits and eligibility for patients.
  • Process and maintain medical records accurately.
  • Answer and manage multi-line phone systems effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all patient interactions.
