About the position

Summit Spine and Joint Centers (SSJC) is on track to become the largest comprehensive spine and joint care provider in the state of Georgia while providing clinical, surgical, and imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist/Pharmacy Technician to join our team of local administrative staff to provide exceptional patient care. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting patients with questions about their medications, promoting medication compliance among patients, and coordinating patients' medication orders. You will also be tasked with updating patient information on our electronic medical records system and communicating with various administrative teams to ensure the proper flow of information to support patient care. It is essential to follow all company policies on patient services standards and to be an integral part of our administrative, pharmaceutical-oriented back-office team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients with questions about their medications
• Promoting medication compliance among patients
• Coordinating patients' medication orders
• Updating patient information on electronic medical records system
• Communicating with various administrative teams to ensure the proper flow of information to support patient care
• Following all company policies on patient services standards
• Being a part of an administrative, pharmaceutical oriented back-office team

Requirements

• Must be personable and detail oriented as a representative of the practice while callers rely on proper information
• Excellent verbal and written skills for proper documentation of encounters
• Background in using EMR software required
• 1+ year of Medical Assistant, Pharmacy Technician, Laboratory Technician, or some other medical setting experience required to be familiar with medications and patient interactions
• 1+ year of call center experience preferred
• Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
• Bilingual candidates encouraged
