About the position

CSO Wellness & Rehabilitation is seeking a Full-Time Medical Receptionist/Physical Therapy Technician to serve in their Outpatient Therapy Clinic. This role is essential in providing comprehensive patient care and ensuring a smooth operation within the clinic. The Medical Receptionist/Physical Therapy Technician will be responsible for comforting patients by anticipating their anxieties, answering their questions, and maintaining a welcoming clinic area. The position requires a strong focus on patient confidentiality, ensuring that personal and financial information is protected at all times. The successful candidate will also be responsible for maintaining clinic operations by adhering to established policies and procedures, reporting any necessary changes to management, and contributing to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed. In addition to patient interaction, the Medical Receptionist/Physical Therapy Technician will schedule patients for therapy sessions, assist in finding alternative locations for therapy if needed, and prepare treatment rooms for patient visits. The role also involves cleaning and organizing the clinic to ensure a professional environment. Greeting patients and visitors, whether in person or over the phone, is a key responsibility, as is optimizing patient satisfaction and provider time by effectively scheduling appointments. Other duties may be assigned as necessary to support the clinic's operations and patient care objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Comfort patients by anticipating their anxieties and answering their questions.
  • Maintain the clinic area to ensure a welcoming environment.
  • Ensure availability of treatment information by filing and retrieving patient records.
  • Protect patients' rights by maintaining the confidentiality of personal and financial information.
  • Maintain operations by following policies and procedures and reporting needed changes.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Schedule patients for therapy sessions and assist with outbound referrals if necessary.
  • Prepare treatment rooms for patient visits and ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Welcome patients and visitors by greeting them in person or on the telephone and answering inquiries.
  • Optimize patient satisfaction and provider time by scheduling appointments effectively.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of Physical Therapy Office experience is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively.
  • Organized and self-motivated.
