The ideal candidate for this position will possess a solid understanding of medical insurance terminology, strong computer skills for scheduling, and familiarity with general office procedures and equipment. In this role, the candidate will be responsible for greeting visitors and assisting them during the check-in, intake, and checkout processes. Providing outstanding customer service is a key aspect of this position, as the candidate will be the first point of contact for patients. The candidate will also be tasked with scheduling appointments and accurately recording information in the Practice Management System, which includes an Electronic Scheduling System. Additionally, the candidate will answer telephone calls, route them appropriately, and verify insurance eligibility, ensuring that all requirements are met while explaining the process to patients as needed. Collecting co-pays and performing other assigned duties will also be part of the job responsibilities.
