The Medical Receptionist at CleanSlate Centers Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting patient care by providing essential clerical and receptionist services. This position focuses on facilitating efficient patient workflow, ensuring effective communication, and delivering high-quality customer service in a compassionate and professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service, compassion, professionalism, and empathy to all patients at all times.
• Check-in patients as they arrive for appointments.
• Confirm patient demographics at each visit to ensure current phone, address, and insurance information.
• Schedule new and recurring patient appointments for mid-level providers and physicians.
• Continuously audit schedules for accuracy and make adjustments as needed.
• Call patients who have missed appointments to re-engage them in treatment.
• Send prior authorizations to insurance companies as needed.
• Provide patients with required forms and handbooks when establishing or re-establishing care.
• Certify accuracy of completed forms and make corrections with patients if needed.
• Process collections on a daily and weekly basis.
• Scan patient documents into the ARES Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Participate in daily huddles and team meetings.
• Maintain the professional appearance of the office, including watering plants and garbage removal.
• Answer incoming calls and check messages regularly on a multi-line phone.
• Collect co-payments and facilitate payment plans.
• Perform other tasks or projects as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a fast-paced medical office preferred.
• Ability to pass a background check for any convictions directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the position.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
