About the position

PeopleShare is currently hiring for a Medical Receptionist in Plainsboro, NJ! The Medical Receptionist plays a crucial role in coordinating office services such as scheduling, point of service cash collections, purchasing, records control, and other administrative activities. This position requires the ability to interpret operating policies and procedures while exercising independent judgment in resolving administrative problems. The Medical Receptionist will maintain a close and highly responsive relationship with the daily activities of the Director and Team Leaders, receiving minimal supervision. Effective communication is essential to ensure compliance with policies and procedures, and the Medical Receptionist will support operations pertaining to the overall workflows of the program, which includes scheduling, outpatient census, admissions and discharges, room scheduling, and obtaining necessary documentation from outside agencies as required. In addition to these responsibilities, the Medical Receptionist will maintain and operate various office equipment such as computers, copiers, and faxes, and will follow up on maintenance, supplies, or service requests as necessary. Establishing and maintaining various file systems, including outpatient admissions information, outpatient files, and general business files, is also a key part of this role. The Medical Receptionist will support the filling of canceled or no-show appointments by helping to maintain a client reference list to optimize the therapist's time effectively.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of medical front desk experience.
  • Familiarity with Raintree software is a plus.
  • Experience with medical software is required.
  • Knowledge of insurance processes.
