About the position

The Medical Receptionist position at ChenMed is a full-time role based in Southfield, MI, focused on enhancing patient experiences and driving long-term member retention. This position is integral to the operations of the clinic, where the incumbent will work closely with Membership Growth Consultants (MGCs) and Center Dyads to execute targeted activities aimed at retaining membership. The role requires a proactive approach to patient engagement, ensuring that all patients feel welcomed and valued from the moment they enter the clinic. As a lobby ambassador, the Medical Receptionist will engage with patients, identify opportunities for referrals, and address any service recovery needs that may arise. In addition to direct patient interaction, the Medical Receptionist will be responsible for escalating service issues to the Center Dyad to ensure timely resolutions. Utilizing patient experience tools, the incumbent will proactively identify members who may benefit from early service recovery interventions. Building strong relationships with brokers and agents connected to the center is also a key responsibility, as is leveraging company tools to enhance patient retention in collaboration with center leadership. The role may also involve identifying and reporting on patient engagement and retention trends to inform strategic decisions made in partnership with center leadership. Responsibilities

  • Engage with all patients in the lobby, acting as a lobby ambassador to identify opportunities for referrals, patient ambassadors, and service recovery.
  • Escalate service issues to Center Dyad to ensure timely resolution.
  • Leverage patient experience tools to proactively identify members for early service recovery intervention.
  • Establish strong relationships with brokers and agents that have ties with the center and a strong understanding of our value proposition.
  • Leverage company tools to enhance patient retention in partnership with Center leadership.
  • Compliantly connect patients with agents, brokers, and company employees to maintain patient engagement.
  • Identify and report on patient engagement and retention trends to inform strategy in collaboration with Center leadership.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required.
  • Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a medical clinic or similar environment required.
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred.
