About the position

The Patient Access Representative will play a crucial role in our specialized Ophthalmology Practice located in Monroeville, PA. This in-person position requires a dedicated individual who can ensure a welcoming and efficient environment for our patients and visitors. The representative will be responsible for opening and closing the office, which includes creating a friendly atmosphere that sets the tone for patient interactions. The role involves collecting pre-files from referring offices, which are essential records for patient visits, and organizing them in a manner that facilitates easy access and review by the medical staff. In addition to managing the office environment, the Patient Access Representative will identify urgent cases based on the information provided by referring offices. This requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. The representative will also manage the check-in and check-out processes for patients, ensuring that these procedures are conducted with efficiency and professionalism. This includes handling appointment scheduling, confirming appointments with patients, and collecting payments such as copays and self-payments, while maintaining accurate documentation of all transactions. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced medical environment and will be committed to providing excellent service to our patients.
