About the position

As a Medical Receptionist at RadNet Inland Empire, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for patients visiting our facility. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting and registering patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner, obtaining and verifying insurance and patient information, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately. You will also be responsible for collecting co-pays and fees, answering and transferring incoming phone calls, and scheduling appointments for new and existing patients. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, guests, and colleagues. In this role, you will be part of a dedicated team that is focused on delivering quality care and improving the healthcare experience for all stakeholders involved. You will coordinate with back-office staff to ensure timely and effective patient care, and you will provide patients with the necessary orientation regarding preparatory and safety protocols. Responsibilities

  • Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
  • Obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
  • Collect and log all co-pays and fees.
  • Answer/transfer incoming phone calls.
  • Schedule, reschedule or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments and notify staff of changes when necessary.
  • Give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities if needed.
  • Coordinate with the back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills.
  • Strong multitasking and communication skills.
  • Experience providing exceptional customer service.
  • Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.
