The Medical Receptionist at Fast Pace Health plays a crucial role in delivering a best-in-class patient experience. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks aimed at supporting patient care in a friendly and encouraging environment. The ideal candidate will embody the company's mission of teamwork, communication, empowerment, and quality care, while also contributing to the overall improvement of healthcare delivery in rural communities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and assist patients.
  • Obtain and record demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and communicate payment policies and billing processes.
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and past due balances.
  • Retrieve and fax/mail medical records as requested by patients.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and return voicemails.
  • Provide clerical support as required.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and employees, fostering a friendly work atmosphere.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Complete preceptor training to onboard and train new hires in centers of excellence.
  • Engage with Learning and Development to manage onboarding and training of new employees.

Requirements

  • Medical office experience and familiarity with basic medical terminology preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and with the public in a high-pressure environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outgoing and compassionate attitude.
  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
