About the position

Pediatric Urology of Western New York is seeking a compassionate and motivated Medical Receptionist to join their team. This full-time position involves managing the efficient operation of the medical office, interacting with patients, families, and providers, and ensuring high-quality patient care. The role is based in a state-of-the-art facility on the Buffalo Medical Campus, with a focus on pediatric urology services.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge and welcome patients to the practice immediately.
• Check patients in and out with accuracy.
• Manage and schedule appointments for all providers effectively.
• Verify and update insurance and demographic information in the EMR.
• Communicate with other offices as needed.
• Answer phone calls with exceptional communication skills.
• Arrange imaging appointments for patients.
• Make reminder and follow-up calls courteously.
• Assist patients, their families, and medical staff as needed.
• Maintain a teamwork attitude at all times.
• Perform other administrative duties as required.

Requirements

• Customer service experience
• Medical office experience
• Proficiency in English
• Experience in medical administrative support
• Familiarity with MEDENT EMR system
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Strong communication skills
• Entry-level medical receptionist experience
• Time management skills
