The Medical Receptionist at Fast Pace Health plays a crucial role in providing a best-in-class patient experience. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks aimed at supporting the healthcare team and ensuring smooth operations within the clinic. Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with Federal and State regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Greet, register, instruct, discharge, and assist patients.
  • Obtain and record demographic, insurance, and financial information.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and communicate payment policies.
  • Collect co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles, and past due balances.
  • Retrieve and fax/mail medical records as requested by patients.
  • Answer telephone calls, take messages, and return voicemails.
  • Provide clerical support as required.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients and employees.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
  • Complete preceptor training to onboard and train new hires.
  • Engage with Learning and Development to manage onboarding and training of new employees.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or its equivalent.
  • Medical office experience and familiarity with basic medical terminology preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a high-pressure environment.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  • Outgoing and compassionate attitude.
