About the position
Together Women's Health, LLC is seeking a full-time Medical Receptionist to join their team at Women First OBGYN. The Receptionist serves as a brand ambassador, responsible for providing a warm welcome to every patient and delivering outstanding customer service both in person and over the phone. This role involves greeting patients, scheduling appointments, and efficiently utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to facilitate patient visits.
Responsibilities
- Greeting every patient with a smile
- Completing and updating patients' insurance information with accuracy and efficiency
- Utilizing the Electronic Health Record system to complete the registration process and facilitate the patients' visit
- Completing the check-out process by assisting patients with scheduling future appointments and providing referral information
- Verifying insurance eligibility to ensure timely billing
- Collecting co-pays and deductibles as directed by billing policies
- Answering the appointment line and checking the email appointment request system
- Scheduling appointments for patients at office sites and/or diagnostic departments
- Ensuring each patient's encounter is professional, warm, and caring.
Requirements
- Previous customer service experience required
- 1 year previous medical office experience preferred
- Strong communication skills both oral and written
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in a medical setting preferred
- New graduates from a certified medical assistant/receptionist program welcome
