About the position

The Medical Receptionist at Absolute Urgent Care, LLC is responsible for providing excellent customer service to patients and visitors, managing patient check-in and check-out processes, and ensuring accurate documentation for billing purposes. This role requires effective communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors in a personable and energetic manner upon entering the center.
• Check patients in and out of the center and confirm that the necessary documentation was collected and entered into the medical software system for billing purposes.
• Complete and confirm insurance eligibility.
• Answer the center phone calls.
• Explain financial requirements to patients and collect co-pays and past due balances, when applicable.
• Work collaboratively with the billing office as a liaison between the patient, the center, and the billing office.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and medical staff.
• Multitask in a fast-paced work environment while remaining organized and professional.
• Maintain a neat and clean work environment and professional appearance.

Requirements

• Medical office experience (1 year required)
• Experience in urgent care setting (1 year preferred)
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills
• Organizational skills
