About The Position

The Medical Records Specialist role at TEKsystems involves managing and processing medical records requests while ensuring compliance with health information regulations such as HIPAA. Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience in medical records requests.
• 6 months of contact center or customer service experience within the last 4 years.
• Deep understanding of HIPAA guidelines and privacy policies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in typing, internet navigation, and using multiple software systems.
• Strong attention to detail and consistent follow-through on goals and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Access and prepare medical records for patients and authorized representatives.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical records and health information regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
• Perform administrative duties such as answering phones, faxing, and emailing confidential information.
• Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external parties.
