The Medical Records Specialist at Enhabit Home Health & Hospice plays a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of patient medical records. This position involves clerical support, processing key documents, and maintaining organized medical records to facilitate effective patient care. The role is part of a collaborative and innovative culture focused on delivering high-quality home-based care.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the integrity of the patient medical record.
  • Provide clerical support and process signed and unsigned orders, 485's, and other key documents.
  • Ensure documents are saved to the patient medical record.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in the use of a computer, including typing and clerical skills.
  • Must have basic demonstrated technology skills, including operation of a mobile device.
  • Must possess a valid state driver license.
  • Must maintain automobile liability insurance as required by law.
  • Must maintain dependable transportation in good working condition.
  • Must be able to safely drive an automobile in all types of weather conditions.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six months experience in medical records in a health care office is highly preferred.
