About the position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Hematology at Bristol-Myers Squibb is a field-based role focused on engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to provide clinical and scientific insights related to hematology products. The MSL acts as a clinical advisor, ensuring that the medical community is informed about the safe and effective use of BMS medicines. This position involves significant interaction with external stakeholders, including investigators and clinical thought leaders, and requires a strong understanding of the clinical landscape to support product launches and lifecycle management activities.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in scientific dialogue with thought leaders to gain insights on the clinical landscape and develop a focused medical plan.
  • Collaborate with medical societies and patient advocacy groups to enhance medical engagement.
  • Provide training for external speakers as needed and engage payers during pre- and peri-launch phases.
  • Support HCPs by addressing unsolicited questions in real-time through face-to-face interactions and virtual capabilities.
  • Document and achieve annual goals while leveraging digital tools to enhance medical engagement.
  • Provide recommendations to clinical development teams based on knowledge of the field and investigator contacts.
  • Lead evidence read-outs with clinical trial investigators and support interventional and non-interventional research studies.

Requirements

  • MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, or PhD required.
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical or research experience in hematology or as a medical science liaison in lymphoma or multiple myeloma.
  • Strong understanding of US legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines relevant to healthcare interactions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
  • Ability to translate scientific data into understandable information for physicians.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cell therapy experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience in engaging with healthcare professionals and maintaining relationships within the medical community.
