About the position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Hematology at Bristol-Myers Squibb plays a crucial role in capturing medical insights and acting as a clinical and scientific advisor to cross-functional partners. This field-based position focuses on engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) to ensure they are informed about the safe and effective use of BMS medicines, particularly in the hematology domain. The MSL will be involved in pre- and peri-launch activities, educational dialogues, and addressing scientific inquiries, while also supporting clinical trial engagement and patient access initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Engage in scientific dialogue with thought leaders to gain insights on the clinical landscape.
• Develop and implement a medical plan focused on product and disease area.
• Collaborate with medical societies and patient advocacy groups.
• Provide training for external speakers as needed.
• Engage with payers during pre- and peri-launch phases.
• Address unsolicited HCP questions in real-time through Medical on Call capability.
• Document and achieve annual goals related to medical engagement.
• Support clinical trial feasibility and patient recruitment efforts.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacovigilance procedures during local studies.

Requirements

• MD, DO, PharmD, DNP, or PhD required.
• Minimum 3 years clinical or research experience in hematology or as a medical science liaison in lymphoma or multiple myeloma.
• Strong understanding of US legal, regulatory, and compliance guidelines relevant to healthcare interactions.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills.
• Ability to translate scientific data into understandable information for physicians.

Nice-to-haves

• Cell therapy experience preferred.
• Experience in engaging with healthcare professionals and maintaining relationships within the medical community.
