About the position

The Field Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at UroGen Pharma, Inc. is a pivotal role that focuses on fostering scientific communication and collaboration within the urology and urologic-oncology community. This externally facing position is designed to establish and maintain peer-to-peer relationships with therapeutic experts, healthcare providers, researchers, and disease-area advocates. The MSL is integral to the complete product lifecycle, engaging in scientific exchanges that cover research and clinical trends relevant to UroGen's therapeutic areas. In this role, the MSL will contribute to UroGen's therapeutic strategy as defined by the Medical Affairs and Clinical Development teams, ensuring brand alignment throughout their efforts. The MSL will work closely with various departments within UroGen, including field and corporate office teams located in New York City and Israel. A significant aspect of the MSL's responsibilities includes providing medical training for field-based teams and developing medical content for speakers. The MSL will also be responsible for field-based clinical support, addressing unsolicited medical information requests from healthcare providers and payers, and facilitating novel clinical or scientific opportunities. They will play a crucial role in translating external insights into UroGen's clinical development programs, ensuring that real-world input informs study design and site selection for company-sponsored trials. Additionally, the MSL will assist in developing strategies for investigator-initiated trials and participate in regional symposia, medical advisory boards, and national/regional medical meetings. Attending scientific conferences to gather and disseminate new scientific information is another key responsibility, as is providing medical information in compliant settings. The MSL will also lead larger scale projects and initiatives, as well as engage in leadership and mentoring activities for the team. A successful MSL will enhance the relationship between UroGen and the disease area community by delivering reliable clinical education, supporting research efforts, and being receptive to feedback on therapeutic products and clinical trends.
