The primary responsibility of the Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is to serve as a field-based medical expert within the Medical Affairs Organization and engage in mutual scientific exchange. The MSL enhances the understanding of the scientific and medical value of Ipsen's oncology and hematology products, both marketed and in the pipeline, by collaborating with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) to improve patient outcomes. This role requires leveraging deep scientific and business knowledge in life cycle management (LCM) to generate valuable insights from thought leaders that can be shared across the organization. The MSL is also responsible for responding to customer inquiries, ensuring that clinical and scientific information supports the appropriate use of Ipsen's products. In addition to these responsibilities, the MSL works with cross-functional teams on business planning, special projects, and strategic development to support the US Medical Affairs Medical Strategy. Adherence to internal standard processes and compliance with regulatory requirements is crucial, along with maintaining expertise in disease state management, emerging therapies, and the treatment landscape. The MSL must demonstrate deep scientific expertise on Ipsen's oncology and hematology products, build and maintain relationships with regional thought leaders, and represent Ipsen at scientific conferences and medical meetings. The MSL is expected to gather data and generate scientific insights from stakeholder interactions, respond to unsolicited requests regarding investigator-sponsored studies, and assist with Company Sponsored Studies from Phase I-IV. Training and facilitating speakers on Ipsen's products, building relationships across internal stakeholders, and engaging in continuous independent learning within the therapeutic area are also key components of this role.
