About the position

The primary responsibility of the Oncology Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is to serve as a field-based medical expert within the Medical Affairs Organization and engage in mutual scientific exchange. The MSL plays a crucial role in enhancing the understanding of the scientific and medical value of Ipsen's oncology and hematology products, both marketed and in the pipeline, by collaborating with Thought Leaders (TL) and Healthcare Providers (HCP) to improve patient outcomes. This position requires leveraging deep scientific and business knowledge in life cycle management (LCM) to generate valuable insights from thought leaders that can be shared across the organization. The MSL is also responsible for responding to customer inquiries, ensuring that clinical and scientific information is focused and balanced to support the appropriate use of Ipsen's products. In addition to these responsibilities, the MSL will work closely with cross-functional teams on business planning, special projects, and strategic development to support the US Medical Affairs Medical Strategy. Adherence to internal standard processes and compliance with regulatory requirements is essential, along with maintaining expertise in disease state management, emerging therapies, and the treatment landscape. The MSL will demonstrate deep scientific expertise on Ipsen's oncology and hematology products, engage with regional thought leaders, and respond to both on-label and off-label inquiries with integrity and compliance. The role also involves representing Ipsen at scientific conferences, continuing medical education events, and medical meetings, gathering data and generating scientific insights from stakeholder interactions. The MSL will capture scientific insights that deepen the understanding of the needs of thought leaders, healthcare providers, and patients, and share this information with internal stakeholders. Furthermore, the MSL will assist with Company Sponsored Studies (CSS) from Phase I-IV, including site identification and operational management, and will train and facilitate speakers on Ipsen's products. Building and cultivating relationships across internal stakeholders while maintaining compliance with relevant guidelines is a key aspect of this role. Continuous independent learning and participation in upskilling programs related to Ipsen's products and relevant business topics are also expected.
