The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Ophthalmology in the Great Lakes region is a critical role that involves developing and maintaining professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. This position is designed to provide comprehensive medical and scientific support for the company's initiatives in the therapeutic area of ophthalmology. The MSL will facilitate information sharing, education, and research activities for healthcare professionals, including physicians and ancillary staff, regarding current and future therapies that the company is developing or has commercialized. This role is field-based and operates under a two-year contract, allowing for flexibility in location within the states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Illinois. In this position, the MSL will identify, develop, and maintain relationships with thought leaders, academic centers, and researchers to ensure access to the latest medical and scientific information related to the company's products. The MSL will also be responsible for presenting data on products to healthcare professionals, including physicians and researchers, upon request. Additionally, the MSL will support research initiatives as requested by the Research and Development, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs departments. This role serves as an internal medical and scientific resource, contributing to the development of disease-state and product communications that are medically accurate and compliant with regulatory guidelines. The MSL will conduct ongoing training for medical affairs, field sales, and other internal personnel as directed, ensuring that all team members are equipped with the necessary knowledge to support the company's objectives. Furthermore, the MSL will be responsible for managing annual expenses within assigned budget parameters and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of all activities related to their role.
