About the position

Serving as a field-based extension of Medical Affairs, the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) will represent the Company specializing in treatments for lung and pancreatic cancers driven by actionable mutations. The MSL will serve as a vital link between the company and the healthcare community, driving awareness, education, and collaboration to optimize patient outcomes. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a terminal degree (PhD, PharmD, DNP, MD), a robust experience in targeted oncology, and a deep understanding of next-generation sequencing (NGS), particularly RNA and DNA technologies. This role requires a dynamic communicator with the ability to build strong relationships, exhibit empathy and compassion, and articulate complex scientific data in an accessible manner. The role requires traveling approximately 50% of the time domestically.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a scientific and clinical expert on actionable mutations and targeted therapies in lung and pancreatic cancer.
  • Communicate complex NGS data, including RNA and DNA sequencing, in a clear and meaningful way to healthcare professionals.
  • Engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), academic centers, community HCPs, and clinical investigators to provide accurate and balanced information about our products and research.
  • Deliver in-depth, tailored education to healthcare providers, including oncologists, pathologists, interventional radiologists, and other stakeholders, on the clinical utility of NGS and our targeted therapy.
  • Identify unmet needs and opportunities for collaboration within the oncology community.

Requirements

  • Terminal degree required (PhD, PharmD, DNP, MD).
  • Minimum of 2 years in a targeted oncology MSL or similar FBM experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech setting or 5 years MSL or similar FBM experience in the Pharmaceutical/Biotech setting in solid tumors required.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with KOLs, clinicians, and researchers.
  • Familiarity with the clinical landscape and actionable mutation dynamics in lung and pancreatic cancers.
  • Advanced understanding of molecular diagnostic tools and the integration of NGS in personalized oncology care.
  • Empathy and compassion, with a patient-centered approach to oncology care.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Willingness to travel (up to 50%) and work flexible hours to meet the needs of the role.
