About the position

The Medical Science Liaison/Senior Medical Science Liaison role at PharmaLogics Recruiting involves establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs), key opinion leaders (KOLs), and digital opinion leaders (DOLs) in Southern California and Arizona. The position focuses on engaging in scientific discussions about obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and the AD109 treatment, while also addressing unmet medical needs in the therapeutic area. The MSL will serve as a medical resource, attend medical congresses, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and maintain long-term collaborative relationships with HCPs, KOLs, and DOLs.
  • Engage in scientific exchange about OSA and AD109, raising awareness of unmet medical needs.
  • Provide accurate and balanced scientific data in response to unsolicited questions from KOLs and HCPs.
  • Attend national and regional medical congresses to engage KOLs and gather insights.
  • Build and maintain scientific and clinical knowledge in obstructive sleep apnea and current treatment strategies.
  • Gather and communicate field medical insights to inform medical and commercial strategy.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory guidelines, and compliance requirements in all interactions.
  • Adhere to compliance guidance, policies, and procedures, including the PhRMA Code and HIPAA.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (5+ years preferred).
  • High level of scientific excellence and ability to interpret medical literature.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence.
  • Strong business acumen and knowledge of the healthcare environment.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with KOL development and HCP engagement across multiple drug launches.
  • Ability to work effectively within a Field Medical Affairs Team.
  • Ability to build and maintain trust with stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and resilient with a positive outlook.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, thriving in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Unimpeached track record of integrity and ethics.
  • Ability to travel up to 50-70%, including overnight stays.

Nice-to-haves

  • Training or clinical experience in pulmonary, neuroscience, sleep medicine, or other relevant chronic disease areas.
