About the position

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) for Ipsen Biopharmaceuticals is a field-based role focused on enhancing the understanding of neuroscience products and facilitating scientific exchanges with healthcare professionals. The MSL will engage with thought leaders and investigators to support clinical trials and ensure the scientific needs of various stakeholders are met. This position requires a doctorate-level education and expertise in neuroscience, with responsibilities spanning across the Northeast territory.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep scientific expertise on Ipsen's neuroscience molecules/products and therapeutic area to exchange relevant information and insights with thought leaders.
  • Build, cultivate, and maintain a focused group of regional thought leaders to ensure understanding of evolving healthcare trends.
  • Respond to on and off-label questions with integrity and compliance to legal and regulatory guidelines.
  • Represent Ipsen and the US Medical Affairs Team during scientific conferences and medical meetings.
  • Gather data and capture scientific insights to share with internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with Company Sponsored Studies (CSS) from Phase I-IV, including site identification and education to support enrollment.
  • Respond to unsolicited requests for medical information associated with Ipsen products.
  • Build and cultivate working relationships across internal stakeholders while maintaining compliance with relevant requirements.
  • Participate on committees or project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership.
  • Engage in continuous independent learning within the therapeutic area.

Requirements

  • Doctoral level in the sciences required (MD, DO, PhD, PharmD, DPT, Nursing or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years related work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years Neurology, Physiatry, or Neurorehabilitation MSL experience preferred.
  • Previous experience with product launches and life cycle management.
  • Excellent planning, presentation, written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain credible scientific relationships with top experts.
  • Knowledge of PhRMA, OIG, and other guidelines relating to compliant medical communications.
  • Fundamental understanding of clinical research.
