About the position
As a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) at Merz Therapeutics, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining a robust network of relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) across various specialties, including Neurology, Adult Physical Rehabilitation Medicine, and ENT. This position is designed for individuals who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of patients suffering from movement disorders and neurological conditions. You will be responsible for fostering connections with regional, national, and international KOLs, which will not only enhance the visibility of Merz Therapeutics' product portfolio but also facilitate the acceptance of future pipeline products within the healthcare community. Your role will involve generating clinical data to support the Merz Therapeutics portfolio and ensuring that clinical information is disseminated effectively to healthcare providers. You will act as a scientific product expert, providing support to internal stakeholders and high-level KOLs. This includes identifying and supporting investigator-initiated trials, assisting in the development of clinical slide decks, and reviewing publications. You will also be tasked with creating scientific messaging and materials for the medical affairs team, ensuring that they are equipped with the necessary tools to engage with the field effectively. In addition to these responsibilities, you will be expected to respond to unsolicited requests from healthcare providers and payers for medical information, documenting these interactions to maintain a comprehensive record of communications. Your efforts will contribute to the overall mission of Merz Therapeutics, which is to care for communities and support individuals in need, all while fostering a collaborative and inclusive company culture that values individual growth and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with regional, national, and international key opinion leaders (KOLs) in core specialties related to the Merz Therapeutics product portfolio.
- Generate clinical data to support the Merz Therapeutics portfolio and facilitate the dissemination of clinical information.
- Act as a scientific product expert for internal business unit stakeholders and high-level KOLs.
- Identify and support investigator-initiated trials and assist in the development of clinical slide decks.
- Aid in publication review and development, ensuring scientific accuracy and relevance.
- Create scientific messaging and materials for the medical affairs team to utilize in the field.
- Respond to and document unsolicited requests from healthcare providers and payers for medical information.
Requirements
- Strong background in medical science, preferably with experience in neurology or related fields.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with KOLs.
- Ability to generate and analyze clinical data to support product portfolios.
- Experience in supporting clinical trials and understanding of the regulatory environment.
- Proficiency in creating scientific materials and presentations for diverse audiences.
