About the position

The position involves greeting donors at a plasma collection center and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability for the plasma pheresis process. The role requires assisting donors through the screening process, educating them about the donation process, and ensuring a safe and efficient environment for plasma collection.

Responsibilities

  • Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Perform health screening procedures such as blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature checks.
  • Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma after appropriate training.
  • Answer donor questions and provide timely and accurate information regarding the donation process.
  • Register applicants and transfer donors based on operational needs and training.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
  • Ensure a clean and efficient work environment and maintain sufficient operating supplies.
  • Follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and OSHA policies and procedures.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information.
  • Cross-train in other areas to meet business needs.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of three months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment.
  • Ability to perform basic math calculations.
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions.
  • Ability to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation.
