About the position

The Medical Screener role at Takeda involves engaging with plasma donors to ensure their safety and comfort while collecting high-quality plasma for life-changing medicines. This part-time position requires a commitment to customer service and quality, reporting directly to the Plasma Center Manager. The role includes performing phlebotomy and various operational tasks to support the plasma center's operations.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Screen new and repeat donors, taking and recording vital signs and finger stick results.
• Utilize the Donor Information System to prepare donor charts and maintain accurate records.
• Coordinate donor compensation and assist in operational improvements.
• Work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift up to 5 lbs. regularly, with occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• 1 or more years of experience in a customer or patient-facing role.
