About the position

Are you a medical assistant with back-office and scribe experience? Have you been looking for a new opportunity? We want to connect with you! This position is for a dedicated medical assistant/scribe who will assist with scribing for the provider, maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment, and perform patient care services that support the physician/provider's practice. The medical assistant/scribe will be responsible for prepping patients for examinations or procedures, assisting with procedures, relaying instructions from the physician to a patient or authorized person, and collecting patient data and documenting patient concerns, messages, and care provided to the patient in the patient's medical record for the physician's review. Additionally, the role includes administering medications specifically directed by the physician and performing accurate vital sign measurements and documentation. This position may have access to third-party credit card information and transactional systems, including cash registers, point of sale devices, and applications supporting credit card transactions. The medical assistant/scribe will work full-time, Monday through Friday, with a schedule of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on weekdays and 8:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays. The role will require travel to North West Las Vegas twice a month for satellite coverage. The pay range for this position is $18 to $20 per hour, contingent on experience.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 3 years experience as a certified medical assistant/scribe
  • Experience rooming patients and taking medical history
  • Proficient in data entry, splinting, casting, and authorizations
  • Familiar with ICD-10 and CPT codes
  • Excellent patient communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Computer experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and medical EHR

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in outpatient settings
