Scheduling appointments, diagnostic studies, and surgeries will be a key part of the job, along with coordinating necessary authorizations. The Medical Secretary will also be responsible for managing the physician's daily schedules, obtaining necessary records and diagnostic studies for patient appointments, and rescheduling patients when emergencies arise. Additionally, the Medical Secretary will act as a liaison between the provider and the patient, receiving incoming phone calls from patients, answering their questions, and communicating important details back to the provider.
