About the position

The Segment Applications Engineer - Medical at Stratasys is responsible for providing advanced technical assistance to the commercial team, focusing on the medical industry. This role involves executing pre-sales and post-sales training, producing benchmarks and samples, and addressing customer needs. The engineer will work closely with prospective customers and channel partners to expand use case applications and support the sales process with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support to the commercial sales teams.
• Execute pre-sales and post-sales training courses.
• Produce benchmarks and samples for customer evaluation.
• Provide solutions to customer needs and advocate for their requirements.
• Expand use case applications with key customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field, or 6+ years of experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
• 3+ years of experience in a design or manufacturing environment.
• 1+ years of experience with CAD/CAM software applications and/or in the Additive Manufacturing industry.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with medical manufacturing process requirements.
• Experience in designing and implementing tools and fixtures.
• Experience performing time and work sequence studies and recommending adjustments to manufacturing operations.
• Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), Numerical Control (CNC), and Injection Molding industries.
• Strong knowledge of PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
• Project leadership and project management skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in the medical device and component industry.
