About the position

The Medical Service Coordinator position involves working as a Medical Device Technician/Clinician, primarily focused on analyzing and interpreting data from Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices (CIEDs). This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, as it involves processing remote transmissions, providing analysis of arrhythmias, and collaborating with various teams to ensure patient engagement and device management. The position is hybrid, requiring both in-office and remote work, and offers a contract with potential for extension.

Responsibilities

  • Provide intermediate to expert level analysis of arrhythmias on intracardiac electrograms and technical device data.
  • Process transmissions for CIED scheduled and alerts, adhering to service-level agreement timelines.
  • Analyze and interpret CIED transmission data autonomously using company software.
  • Document findings clearly and concisely following company protocol.
  • Escalate device abnormalities through the company's workflow process.
  • Provide troubleshooting support as requested.
  • Complete all assigned training and stay updated on clinical knowledge, specifically ECG rhythm interpretation.
  • Work directly with the patient engagement team to re-engage disconnected patients.
  • Maintain manufacturer portals, patient schedules, and alert programming.
  • Support early phases of mentorship and peer training.
  • Conduct customer-facing calls and communication.
  • Review and act on all recall and advisory patient lists.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams.

Requirements

  • Active CRAT, CCT, CCI, or IBHRE certification.
  • Experience processing remote transmissions from medical devices.
  • Experience in medical device clinics performing remote CIED interrogations for all four manufacturers (Biotronik, Abbott, Boston Scientific, and Medtronic).
  • Previous field clinical specialist experience with one of the four manufacturers.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience utilizing all four home monitoring websites (CCDS, CEPS, CDRMS) preferred.
