About the position

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Medical Store Warehouse/Purchasing position. The Medical Store Warehouse/Purchasing person is responsible for accomplishing all shipping and receiving on a daily basis and to maintain the warehouse in a neat and orderly fashion. This role is crucial in ensuring that all medical supplies and equipment are handled properly and efficiently, contributing to the overall mission of serving our customers better. The individual will be expected to prepare all items to be shipped and received on a daily basis, ensuring that all shipments are processed in a timely manner. Additionally, the position requires notifying appropriate parties of shipments received and placing all items received for stock into the appropriate location on a daily basis. Monitoring and maintaining accurate and appropriate inventory levels is another key responsibility of this role. The individual will be required to place orders when necessary to ensure that stock levels are adequate to meet customer needs. Maintaining the warehouse area in a neat and orderly fashion is essential, as it promotes safety and efficiency in operations. The Medical Store Warehouse/Purchasing person must adhere to all established procedures, policies, and safety rules to ensure compliance and safety in the workplace. Cleaning all Durable Medical Equipment (DME) in the rental return room according to company policy and placing items back in stock on a daily basis is also part of the job. The individual will be responsible for disinfecting all appropriate equipment according to company policy and placing items back in stock on a regular basis. Additionally, the role may require delivery driver duties as needed, and the individual will be part of a rotating on-call schedule. Other tasks may be assigned as necessary, making this a dynamic and varied position within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares all items to be shipped and received on a daily basis

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Good organizational and customer service skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of home care medical products and supplies
  • Ability to accurately enter data into computer and acquire a working knowledge of any software applications applicable to the position
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis
