About the position

The Medical Tech and Lab Tech positions are full-time roles located approximately an hour from Anchorage, Alaska, offering a competitive salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 per year. These positions are permanent and come with a sign-on and relocation allowance of $25,000 to $35,000. The successful candidates will work under the direction of the laboratory manager, performing lab tests, ensuring quality control, and communicating effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform lab tests and quality control under the direction of the laboratory manager.
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and patients regarding lab results and procedures.
• Maintain and operate clinical laboratory instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory standards and protocols.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a related field.
• Board eligible by NCA or ASCP, with completion of board certification within a year of hire.
• Certification at MT by American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) or CLS by National Accrediting Agency (NCA) within one year of employment.
• 1-3 years of clinical laboratory experience in chemistry, blood bank, hematology, microbiology, or formal student internship.
