Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret analysis on patient specimens using complex laboratory techniques.
  • Provide medical staff with information to aid in patient diagnosis.
  • Maintain compliance with Mercy Service Standards and values in all duties and responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
  • Utilize advanced technology and innovative procedures in laboratory practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Up to 3 years of acceptable clinical laboratory experience as a certified MLS/MT or equivalent, or certification eligible new MLS graduate.
  • Current certification as MT/MLS or categorical certification through ASCP or equivalent.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with medical staff and patients.
